Company Profile

Our History

2010 - 2012

The company was founded in 2010 by Zak Aravantinos, initially the company was formed based around two innovative services; a streamline online shopping service, offering choice and a shopping experience from the comfort of the home for elderly & disabled adults and an emergency care response service for pendant activations and/or alarm raising equipment managed by local and national call centres/companies, this brand was named Response24.  The CareHub brand quickly followed, as a brand that would provide a ‘one stop shop’ for any individuals complete domestic needs.

During this time, the company had 6 employees and a further 3 partner organisations, with a client base of circa 60 individuals in 2011, rising to circa 150 clients by the end of 2012 and along the way developing working relationships with:

  • North Somerset Carelink
  • Telecare North Somerset
  • Taunton Deane Careline
  • Bristol Careline
  • Age UK Lifeline
  • Buddi GPS mobile devices

2013 - 2014

In 2013, we continued to grow our domestic client base and following 12 months of discussions with interested parties and market research, the company secured twelve month pilot contracts to provide:

  • A 24 hour emergency response service
  • An online home shopping service.

Our client base increased to over 3000 clients, in a space of 3 months

Following a hugely successful 12 months, the pilots were extended for a further 12 months, with the addition of a ‘unique’ overnight care service.   We diversified the range of support we could offer during our ‘emergency responses’ by forming close working relationships with the local Nursing teams and Ambulance service, in an attempt to reduce the pressure on emergency services with individuals who have fallen.

By the end of 2014, the company was providing support to circa 4,000 individuals on an annual basis, and had already responded to over 3,000 separate emergency response calls.

2015 - 2016

In 2015, we secured our own CQC registration, resulting in us increasing our office team to include a Registered Manager, HR Lead and an Operations Manager. The company had now grown to 22 employees.

Response24 service requires individuals to have a key safe for emergency access during any callouts; it became apparent that locally and nationally there was no single company fitting key safes.

The company as a response to this launched KeysafeMan in 2015; since then we have fitted over 2500 key safes in North Somerset alone and a further 1,000 key safes in the surrounding counties.

In January 2015, we secured longer term contracts following our original pilot and our recent CQC registration meant that we could increase the level of support we could offer during a response visit to include personal care, this further enhanced our unique selling point.

With the ability to provide home care services, the company began recruiting staff to meet the demands for care services in the community.

Over the next 18 months, the company increased to over 50 employees and from zero care hours, has gone on to deliver over 30,000 care hours a year, with a client base of over 6,000 clients across our services.
