Dementia Care Worker

If you are compassionate, highly motivated, have excellent communication skills and you can work effectively under pressure ensuring the highest quality of service is delivered; Then you may have what it takes to become a Dementia Care Worker
As a Dementia Care Worker you will be working out in the community with clients who have been diagnosed with dementia, from newly diagnosed to the advanced stages of dementia. You will need to be kind, compassionate, have a lot of patience and a good understanding of dementia and the various stages of it.
You will be providing support to clients, working with many different public and health professionals ensuring the highest quality of care is given at all times. You will have a level of flexibility with call durations based on individual needs and you will have ongoing support from your line managers. You will be provided with full training and additional dementia training in order to carry out your duties effectively. This job will involve assisting with personal care.
Working hours for this role will be 07:00 – 14:00 and 17:00 – 22:00 based on a rota, weekend work is required, you will be working one in every two weekends.

– Previous knowledge and experience in Health & Social Care
– A passion for working with people living with dementia
– Excellent communication skills
– A natural compassionate nature and patience
– Ability to work effectively under pressure
– A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle
