Training and Induction

Here at Access Your Care we understand and appreciate that at the heart of any successful and aspiring organisation are the staff, they are the ones that provide our service users with the outstanding care and support we have become recognised for. We therefore place a paramount importance on ensuring that every single member of staff is initially well inducted, trained, support and is then repeatedly maintaining those standards through continuous training and development.

As a benchmark across the care and support team, every staff member has to complete the Care Certificate.  From there, every member of staff is appropriately encouraged to gain a QCF qualification, starting from a Level 2 in Health & Social Care, progressing to a Level 3 towards becoming a senior carer and right up to management level where such members of the team are expected to hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.

Both financially and logistically as a company we invest heavily in our workforce to ensure that for both clients and staff, the safety and wellbeing of either party is never compromised.

Our mandatory induction programme has to be completed by every staff member and is delivered by our Registered Care Manager and Managing Director to ensure that all staff are fully on board with the ethos, company culture and quality of care and support we adopt here at Access Your Care.To accompany the induction programme, each new member of staff has to be shadowed by a senior member of the team for a minimum of two weeks.  Thereafter they are regularly supervised and observed delivering care or support in the homes of our clients, before they are fully signed off to work alone.  Your permission will be gained in an advance of any observation in your home taking place.

Within the first 13 weeks of their employment, the following mandatory training and regulated training must be completed and all training is updated on an annual basis:
