We are looking for empathetic individuals who work well under pressure to join our Emergency Response Team as a Community Response Operative.

This is the perfect role for someone looking to advance their career in the health and social care sector and embrace a new challenge.

The role of a responder is varied, you could attend a variety of different emergency call outs per shift, using the training we give you and your own experience, you will be able to overcome any challenges you’re faced with to deliver a variety of responsive services to the local community and vulnerable adults living in their own homes throughout North Somerset.

Based at our office, our Community Response Operatives act as the first responder for all emergency callouts. They will assess and establish the nature of the emergency and provide the necessary support where needed.

Alongside this, our Community Response Operatives will also consider additional support and services that clients they have visited could benefit from and refer and signpost accordingly.

This position will suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a varied workload as no two days will ever be the same!

Skills we would like you to have:

  • Experience and knowledge of the Adult Health & Social Care Sector
  • Enthusiasm and passion about implementing new ways of working
  • An ability to understand a situation quickly
  • An ability to stay calm in stressful situation
  • Prepared to go into unknown situation
  • A desire for a career in Adult Health & Social Care
  • A drive for progression and personal development
  • The ability to work independently and use their own initiative
  • A full driving license and access to a vehicle whilst working
