We are recruiting Dementia Care Workers to join our specialist Dementia team, providing expert care and support to vulnerable adults in the comfort of they own home.
There are roughly 982,000 currently loving with Dementia in the UK, with that number set to go up to 1.4 million by the year 2040. Being a Dementia specialist is a unique and rewarding role at the cutting edge of adult social care.
You will be visiting your clients, providing care & support in a patient, empathetic manner to ensure that the tasks on their care plan are completed on each visit. Every client has their own needs, however some tasks that you will be supporting with include:
– Assisting with personal care.
– Administering medication.
– Nutrition and hydration support.
– Using specialist equipment and correct manual handling procedures to assist clients who are less mobile.
– Offering companionship, support and a friendly ear, giving clients social nourishment.
You don’t necessarily need previous experience for this role. We provide you with all of the training you need. If you are patient, kind, compassionate and want to make a difference to the lives of people who really need your support then we would like to talk to you.

Financials:
– Block paid shifts (paid an hourly rate from the start to the end of your shift including when travelling) something rarely seen in the social care sector. Worth up to £27,664.00 per year if working 40 hours a week.
-Double pay on Bank holidays, paid at £26.60 per hour
– Paid mileage at 45p per mile, worth up to £4,950.40 per year if working full time.
– Every six months you will get the proud to care bonus, paid to you for working for a North Somerset lead provider, worth up to £1,064.00 per year if working full time.
– With salary, mileage and proud to care added together, potential yearly earnings of £33,678.40 (based off of working 40 hours per week).
– Receive a £1,000 joining bonus for joining us.
– Earn £250 for every employee referral you make, this is uncapped.

– You will get a fixed two week rolling rota, agreed on by you. This means you will always know when you are and are not working. No random drops in hours, no guessing when you’ll be next working.
– Only working one in every two weekends.
– Set shift times, mornings (09:00-14:00) and afternoons (16:00-22:00).
